Manufacturing Engineer, Operations Engineer
At Clark Pacific, the Manufacturing Intern supports the production and quality of architectural and structural precast concrete building systems. Working as part of an integrated manufacturing and operations team within a specific business unit, this role provides hands‑on exposure to manufacturing processes, production planning, quality control, and cross‑functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and field operations. This internship is ideal for a positive, curious, and motivated individual eager to gain real‑world experience in a manufacturing environment within the construction industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions.
- Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, production processes, and proprietary information.
- Learn and assist with daily manufacturing operations, including precast production activities, form setup, reinforcement placement, concrete pours, and finishing processes.
- Learn and assist with production planning activities, including casting schedules, workflow coordination, and material tracking.
- Support quality control efforts by assisting with inspections, documentation, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and plant leadership to help resolve production issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Learn and assist with general operational and administrative tasks as assigned.
- Strong interest in manufacturing, construction, or industrial operations preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field in progress or completed is preferred.
- Strong desire to learn, collaborate, and contribute in a team‑based environment.
- High level of curiosity and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strong attention to detail while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Solid organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
