Position OverviewThe CNC Operator I is responsible for operating CNC equipment safely and efficiently to produce quality parts that meet specifications. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a desire to grow as part of a high-performing manufacturing team.
Duties and Responsibilities- Start and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions, and notify the lead or supervisor of any issues.
- Perform thorough first-part inspections to verify parts meet specifications before production continues.
- Meet job standard cycle times with minimal supervision.
- Identify production issues and communicate concerns to the supervisor or lead in a timely manner.
- Perform general machine shop duties as assigned.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and proper equipment usage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work independently and follow directions with minimal supervision.
- Strong focus and ability to stay attentive during repetitive tasks.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and good hand-eye coordination/manual dexterity.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Works well in a team environment with a strong work ethic and can-do attitude.
- 1-3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience with MS applications.
- Strong skills and aptitude in math.
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment. All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when required.
Compliance- This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. Part 120.14 is required.
