Responsible for participating in all phasesof the development and maintenance lifecycle, typically foran assigned business unit, client program, or corporate department and utilizing variouscustomer technology platforms. This role willalso support the automation, orchestration, processing, andfull data lifecycleof data transformation, management, security,performance tuning, and monitoring. Responsibilities include the administration and support ofdata platform toolsand the design, development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of data processes to support organizational data needs. Collaborates with data architects, product owners, data governance, technical teams, and other developers/admins to alignwith organizational standard sand requirements surroundingplatform administration, security, patching, and data processing.

Responsible for requirements gathering, process mapping, data processing requirements, and managing and assessing data platformperformance, while supporting data security, compliance, collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement.

• Maintains active relationships with customers and stakeholders to determine business requirements.
• Collaborates with engineers, graphic designers, data architects, database administrators, and development teams; analyzes and classifies complex change requests and reviews and evaluates possible enhancements.
• Works with development teams to develop and define application and data processing scope and objectives and prepare functional and/or technical specifications.
• Analyzes and evaluates detailed business, data, and technical requirements.
• Codes and maintains complex components of information systems, including SQL queries, views, stored procedures, data transformations, and data processing solutions.
• Supports data integration, ETL, automation, and orchestration processes across database and technology platforms.
• Mentors others on coding standards and performs code reviews.
• Develops and performs system testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning and fixes defects identified during testing and re-executes unit tests to validate results.
• Assists with monitoring and optimizing data processing, queries, system performance, and data delivery processes.
• Aids in integrating activities with other IT and data departments for successful implementation and support of project efforts.
• Provides technical support and troubleshooting for applications, databases, data platforms, and related tools.
• Supports data quality, security, governance, and compliance requirements and assists with user access, platform maintenance, and monitoring activities.
• Provides on-call support, monitors systems and data processes, identifies system deficiencies, and recommends enhancements and improvements.
• Documents processes, programs, and solutions in accordance with established standards.

• Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study and a minimum of 3 years of experience on one platform, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• This position is part of our Wellpoint Federal division which, per CMS TDL 190275, requires foreign national applicants meet the residency requirement of living in the United States at least three of the past five years.
