Illinois American Water is hiring an Operations Support Administrator to help facilitate activities that support the field groups. This role requires strong time management, organizational, and communication skills to execute daily work. You will perform activities including processing local payroll, coding invoices, handling vendor relationships and coordination, addressing customer questions, and ensuring service orders are seen through to completion.
Key Accountabilities- Processes and maintains a variety of complex accounting information including, but not limited to, payroll, accounts payable, invoices, inventory issues/receipts, and purchase orders
- Research, compile and update information in various systems, including database, spreadsheet and word processing programs
- Maintains financial and/or other business records, journals and ledgers
- Interacts with internal/external customers regarding various issues and provides any additional assistance
- Researches and resolves critical customer questions, concerns, difficulties, inquiries and/or problems
- Prepares and responds to data requests and executes work orders, service orders, error reports, set-ups, etc. in various configurations such as Powerplant, Coupa, SAP and myTime
- Compiles and reviews numerous multifaceted reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Excellent knowledge of office procedures
- Excellent math knowledge
- Working knowledge of computer programs
- Knowledge of network and maintenance related issues
- Knowledge of company billing guidelines and state billing regulations preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate required
- Full-time, On-site
- Monday-Friday, day shift
- Overtime as needed
- General office environment
- In some instances must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. maximum and occasionally lift various items
- Valid, state driver’s license with ability to pass motor vehicle background check
- Primary sedentary general administrative work
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking
- Minimal stooping, bending, crouching
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
