Join the V3 Team and take your career to the next level! We are looking for a Civil Designer to join our Floodplain and Stormwater Management Group in our Woodridge, IL office. We have some exciting projects in the pipeline with more on the horizon! Qualified candidates must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills as the positions include interaction with both internal team members and external clients.

In addition, they must be able to work both independently and, in a team-based environment and possess the ability to manage several major activities at once.

• Water resources and storm water analysis modeling & design.
• Preparing floodplain/floodway calculations and design.
• Grading, site infrastructure and erosion control design.
• Participating in watershed, environmental, and wetland projects for private and public sector clients.
• Preparing reports, design plan sets, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Monitoring projects to ensure needed regulatory compliance, including the possibility of construction site inspections for compliance with erosion and sediment control regulations.
• Assisting in water resources permitting.

• Must be a degreed Civil Engineer from an accredited university.
• 1-4 years of related experience in Water Resources is required.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS and/or Micro Station experience is preferred.
• Experience with modeling/ design tools such as HEC-RAS, TR-20, and XPSWMM are preferred.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local stormwater and floodplain permitting requirements preferred.
