V3 Companies, a multidisciplinary AEC firm, is seeking a Transportation Project Manager in our Woodridge, IL office, where you will contribute to career-defining projects that reimagine our built and natural world. Join our dynamic and growing transportation team as a Project Manager with an emphasis on pursuing and delivering Phase I and II engineering services on transportation and public works projects for IDOT, county DOTs, local municipalities, and Illinois Tollway.
Will also provide technical assistance across growing regional offices.
You'll change the shape of your community by connecting people and designing roads, creating impact that lasts. And, as part of our Transportation Planning and Design team, you will collaborate with 450+ designers, engineers, and scientists to make meaningful, effective change across North America.
Responsibilities- Lead and support the development and design of transportation projects from concept through final design.
- Prepare concept, feasibility, and Phase I studies for transportation projects.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates in accordance with IDOT and local agency standards.
- Collaborate with other project managers within the transportation team as well as other V3 disciplines in the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects and project pursuits.
- Help to ensure that staff development, mentoring and training needs are being met.
- Perform quality assurance reviews of Phase I and II engineering documents.
- Prepare proposals and attend interviews for new project pursuits.
- Engage in business development activities to develop and maintain relationships with public sector clientele.
- Attend industry networking events on behalf of V3.
- Manage client relationships and accounts, including billing & collections, and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Illinois Professional Engineering License required.
- Experience: 10+ years of related experience.
- Strong Communication and Listening Skills.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Experience leading/delivering Phase I and Phase II projects for local municipalities, counties, and IDOT
- Strong knowledge of IDOT, local agency, and Illinois Tollway standards, policies and procedures
- Proficiency with Open Roads Designer software a plus
