Finance Intern

Position

Purpose:

The Finance Intern will support the finance department by assisting with various tasks and projects while gaining practical, real-world, experience through applying academic knowledge to daily activities.

Essential Functions:

* Learn to use financial software and systems that include, but is not limited to, Concur, QAD, and One Stream, to input, track, and analyze financial information.

* Assist with internal audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

* Perform various support functions such as data entry and documentation as necessary.

* Assist with analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

* Assist with preparing reports, summaries, and presentations for management.

* Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data and performing initial analyses.

* Work cross-functionally between various finance groups and divisions.

* Other duties as assigned.

Education and Training

* Enrolled as a current student, or recent graduate from a finance, accounting, economics, business, or related program.

* Must have a minimum GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Minimum Qualifications

* Experience in Excel and other Microsoft Office products is required.

* Experience in accounting software is preferred.

* Basic knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques desired.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

* Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions is essential.

* Diligence and precision in handling financial information is essential.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information is required.
