Director of FP&A - Visual Communications Manufacturer

Location:

Woodridge, IL 60517 (West Suburban Chicago) Salary: $155,000 - $180,000

Founded in 2001 we are a 600 employee leading manufacturer of visual communications solutions specializing in the design, engineering, printing, fabrication & distribution of exhibit systems, retail displays, signage and large format graphics. Our Woodridge, IL facility has 350 employees and serves as our HQ and houses multi-entity corporate operations, centralized accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and enterprise-wide support for 5 business units generating approximately $200 million in annual revenue.

We serve industries including trade shows, retail environments, corporate interiors, events, hospitality & branded environments supporting clients ranging from global retailers to Fortune 500 brands. For this Director of FP&A position you will build and lead the enterprise FP&A function, owning budgeting, forecasting, performance analytics, pricing strategy & financial insights across all business units.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead the development of the annual operating plan, long-range strategic plan, and rolling forecasts across five business units, delivering accurate, data-driven financial models & executive-ready outputs
  • Build and maintain enterprise dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting across entities, departments, product categories, and SKUs to drive operational and commercial decision-making
  • Own pricing strategy, price/volume/mix analysis, and margin insights in partnership with sales, marketing, and product teams
  • Develop automated reporting, Power BI dashboards, and scalable FP&A processes to support growth, efficiency, and real-time financial visibility
  • Partner with executive leadership, operations, sales, and accounting to evaluate business initiatives, capital allocation, cost reduction opportunities, and strategic investments

What You Need for this Position

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc (MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience w/ ownership of budgeting, forecasting, modeling & strategic planning (consulting, investment banking, or Private Equity backgrounds considered)
  • Advanced financial modeling skills w/ strong command of Excel, PowerPoint & business intelligence tools i.e. Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
  • Experience in a fast-paced, private equity-owned, or mid-size multi-entity environment w/ demonstrated ability to build FP&A processes from ground up
  • Strong communication, cross-functional partnership & leadership skills w/ ability to influence decisions and operate both strategically and tactically
