Eaton’s ES GDCO DIT division is currently seeking a Receiving Team Lead to join the Woodridge, IL team!

The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour.

Shift: 5:30am-2:00pm

Position Overview:

The Receiving team lead is responsible for maintaining an efficient workflow and error-free receipt transaction processing in the Inbound Department. Daily activities include scheduling finished goods receipts with transportation partners, matching staffing level to daily workload, supervising receiving tasks and transactions, coordinating finished goods put-away with Stock Supervisor.

In this function you will:

  • Coordinate daily receipts with drayage provider and balance schedule to capacity
  • Coordinate labor with Stock Team Leader to balance pace of receipt with pace of put-away
  • Planned and unplanned Finished Goods receipts processed and through the department daily
  • Review associates’ receipt transactions for accuracy and elevate reported flagged receipts through proper channels daily
  • Provide direct supervision for employees in assigned area.
  • Participate in employment and staffing decisions, performance management decisions.
  • Drive warehouse wide Continuous Improvement culture and ideas
  • Develop and implement schedules and manpower requirements to meet or exceed production plan
  • All duties assigned by management and deemed pertinent to the continued success of Company and employee objectives and/or goals
  • Champion use of Eaton systems and tools to ensure appropriate execution within assigned areas.
  • Engage direct reports in manufacturing LEAN initiatives including but not limited to operator standard work, 5S, pull systems, empowered work teams, and structured problem solving.
  • Provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development.
  • Implement and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture.
  • Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement.
  • Communicate company policies, procedures, and guidelines and ensure they are consistently practiced.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with other departments to expedite the workflow and ensure the established quality expectations.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of two years experience in a warehouse environment
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school

Preferred:

  • Experience using WMS
Position Criteria:
  • Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
  • Willingness to operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) to transport and locate equipment and materials to required areas
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers and external customers/vendors
