Pressroom Feeder Operator

HIRING IMMEDIATELY: PRESSROOM FEEDER OPERATOR IN WOODRIDGE, IL

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Pressroom Feeder Operator to join our team in Woodridge, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for operating the mechanical sheet feeder and assisting the press operator with the setup, repair, and maintenance of the press.

• Starting at $25/hour

• Shift: 6pm-6am Rotating Shift, plus overtime and weekends
• Located in Woodridge, Illinois

• Clear machine before and after each run and pick up and destroy all foreign material. Empty all waste receptacles located within the blue line area.
• Review job tickets and select the proper type and quantity of paper. Load and unload paper. Inspect paper for defects or damage.
• Obtain proper ink from the ink room and fill ink fountains. Maintain proper levels of ink at all times.
• Mix water fountain solution and set up a dampening system. Maintain proper levels of water. Check PH balance and conductivity reading of water.
• Set up and operate the mechanical press feeder.
• Assist the press operator in the mounting of plates, blankets, and packing.
• Move loads of printed and unprinted stock when necessary.
• Perform routine adjustments during the press run.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed. Keep a sufficient supply of chemicals and clean rags at the press. Be responsible for keeping the press area clean at all times.
• Be responsible for timely and accurate completion of all ISO forms and quality checks for each job.
• Mark up printed sheet for coating knockouts. Check the sheet against the mylar.
• Perform job duties in accordance with all federal, state, local, and company safety rules.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

• Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to pass a basic reading test.
• Must be able to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Must be able to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.
• Must be able to pass color vision test.
• Must be able to pass color hue test.
• Must be able to obtain a forklift truck license.
• Must be able to maintain good attendance.
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
