- Provides direct and indirect skilled nursing care to patients. Such provisions of care include, but are not limited to:
- Patient assessment, clinical and environmental
- Patient and caregiver teaching

- Selects, trains, develops, and motivates a highly skilled professional nursing and allied staff.
- Assures that departmental staff complete orientation, maintain clinical competence, participate in continuing education, receive counseling and are evaluated in a timely manner.
- Oversees the receipt, evaluation, acceptance and execution of the initial patient intake process to assure that patient verification, assessment, teaching and ongoing scheduling of nursing services occur in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Ensures all patient related documentation and clinical and departmental reports are accurately completed, submitted and/or filed in a timely manner, according to internal and external regulatory requirements and in support of the billing process.
- Participates in planning, decision-making and implementation of all service center activities that affect clinical nursing services and performance of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Assists in the management of a department budget using a modified primary nursing model and ensures other department functions proceed without interruption.
- Secures and maintains all applicable internal, professional, local, state, federal and voluntary licensures, certifications, accreditations and employment requirements as required of staff and department.
- Works closely with the Regional Business Leader, VP of Nursing Area, Vice President to assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate clinical and administrative policies, procedures, programs and systems.
- Assures own professional growth and clinical competence.
- Adheres to all policies, procedures and standards of conduct.
- Reports to the appropriate management any known or suspected violations of policies, procedures, regulations or standards of conduct.
- Completes all necessary managerial tasks for direct reports including hiring, training, addressing performance issues, developing team goals and objectives, performance reviews, conflict resolution, and strategic planning.
- Must be able to work 100% in office.
- This position covers Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Nebraska.
- Must travel to the listed locations.
- Must participate in an on-call rotation.
- Must be knowledgeable and have used IV access devices including IV lines and accessing ports, and administration of infusion medications.
- Must provide infusions to patients in their homes as well as in the infusion suite as needed.
- Must have experience as a nurse manager/ regional nurse manager; specialty infusion pharmacy preferred.
- Must hold a multistate RN license for the state of Illinois in good standing or be willing to obtain it.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN or MSN preferred.
- Current RN licensure by the applicable state's Board of Nursing in good standing – Illinois.
- Minimum five years nursing practice in a related specialty such as home infusion, specialty infusion, home health, oncology, nutrition support, IV therapy or critical care.
- Minimum five years pediatric nursing experience ideal.
- Clinical expertise in IV therapies with monitoring, skill and knowledge of all types of IV lines.
