- Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and learn new software quickly.
- Communicate clearly in all formats, maintain attention to detail, and provide excellent customer service.
- Work independently in a fast‑paced environment, set and achieve personal goals.
- Collaborate daily with Sales Development Representatives, Account Managers, Account Executives, and Commercial Managers to deliver the best farmer experience and generate referrals.
- Place outbound calls to farmers to generate leads, prioritize and manage the sales pipeline, and close sales.
- Travel to farms as needed.
- Become an internal expert on the market‑leading system for farmers.
- Solicit and develop new business through phone, meetings, and on‑farm one‑on‑one interactions.
- Provide market outlook analysis and price‑risk assessment to customers.
- Maintain existing accounts and keep daily, monthly, and annual customer records.
- Execute futures and options trades as a price‑risk tool or for speculative purposes.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in grain marketing, grain trading, merchandising, origination, or brokerage.
- Possess or be able to obtain Series 3 licensure (National Commodities Futures Examination administered by FINRA).
- Fluency in futures, options, hedging, and risk‑management concepts and offerings.
- Graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Business, or Economics.
- Proven ability to excel in a self‑guided work environment.
- Passionate about agriculture and farming, and desire to put the farmer first.
- Comfortable using and explaining technology products and services.
- Willingness to work in a fast‑paced, competitive environment where sales achievement is directly rewarded.
- Willingness to travel 10%+ of the time.
- Enjoy working in an office environment, spending hours on the phone learning the market while teaching the company strategy to U.S. farmers.
- Internally motivated, able to work independently.
- Customer‑relations experience is a plus but not required.
- 401(k) Retirement Plan – Eligible after 12 months of continuous service. Employees may contribute up to $18,000 per year (additional catch‑up of $6,000 for those 50 and older). Company contributes 3% of salary.
- Health and Dental Benefits – Eligible after 30 days of service; group health, dental, and vision plans available with optional dependents at affordable rates.
- Short‑Term Disability Insurance – Covered at 60% of salary by Northwestern Mutual and 10% by the company for 1–89 days of missed work, up to $2,500 per week.
- Continued Education Support – Assistance up to $2,500 per year for company‑approved educational expenses tied to business or industry; minimum GPA 3.0 required.
- Paid Holidays – Company closed on Dr. Martin Luther King Day, Fourth of July, and Christmas Day.

- 0–5 years: 12 hours per month (18 days per year)
- 5–10 years: 16 hours per month (24 days per year)
