Responsibilities
- Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team based selling model
- Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies to help customers succeed
- Your success will be measured by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business
- Deliver impactful sales presentations and tailor your sales approach to individual customers
- Work collaboratively with our Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening
- Develop new business by identifying prospective customers by utilizing market intelligence databases, business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences
- Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process
- Know the market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services provided
- Drive your personal motor vehicle to conduct regular check ins, site visits and follow ups to ensure customer satisfaction
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license is required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing
- Food service industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals
- Problem solving ability / organization and negotiation skills
- Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus
- Have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
