Own the growth behind the build. Out of our Woodridge, IL facility, you'll report to the AVP of Fire Protection and estimate, sell, and manage fire sprinkler projects, working closely with existing clients while developing new business relationships, contributing to the success of our growing Fire Protection group alongside 1,000+ employees.

As a Fire Protection Account Manager at AMS, you're the driving force behind a growing group. Out of our Woodridge, IL facility, reporting to the AVP of Fire Protection, you'll estimate, sell, and manage fire sprinkler projects of varying sizes, including service, tenant, and commercial work, supporting the continued growth and expansion of our Fire Protection group.

Your primary focus will be developing and expanding sales opportunities and revenue within the Fire Protection client base across the Chicago and Northern Indiana regions, working closely with existing AMS clients while pursuing new and prospective business. Your responsibilities may also extend into crossover opportunities within our mechanical, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and industrial groups, contributing to the overall success and profitability of the department.

You'll manage internal project accounting requirements and prepare routine financial updates, assist collections when accounts receivable become problematic, and support the department's administration to achieve maximum quality, efficiency, and growth. The role also includes general marketing participation through associations, affiliations, and personal contacts, with networking expected from time to time, including functions outside standard business hours. What

You'll Own
  • Estimate, sell, and manage fire sprinkler projects of varying sizes, including service, tenant, and commercial.
  • Develop and expand sales opportunities and revenue within our current business model, focusing on Fire Protection clients within the Chicago and Northern Indiana regions.
  • Pursue crossover opportunities within our mechanical, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and industrial groups in addition to the Fire Protection sector.
  • Manage and establish growth through existing AMS clients, provided to you, as well as pursuit of new and prospective clients.
  • Manage internal project accounting requirements and prepare routine financial updates.
  • Participate in general marketing through associations, affiliations, and personal contacts, including networking functions outside standard business hours as needed.
  • Support the administration and support services of the department to achieve maximum quality, efficiency, growth, and corporate profitability.
  • Assist in collections of accounts receivable when unresolved through support staff.
What You Bring
  • 3-7 years of experience in fire protection, fire sprinkler estimating, project management, or a related construction sales role.
  • Proven experience estimating, selling, and managing fire sprinkler projects, including service, tenant improvement, and commercial work.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business, build client relationships, and grow revenue within existing and new accounts.
  • Experience preparing estimates and proposals, and managing project financials, including cost tracking and forecasting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently while contributing to team success.
  • Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems, NFPA codes, and construction practices.
  • Ability to identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities within mechanical, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and industrial service offerings.
  • Experience working with construction contracts, project documentation, and job cost reporting.
  • Willingness to participate in networking, industry associations, and client events as part of business development efforts.
