Warehouse Associate Union - Night Shift; IL

Summary

Responsible for receiving, stocking, preparation and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas.

$22.86/hour

Sun-Thu 6:00pm-2:30am

The ideal candidate will have the ability to operate a forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker; lift 40‑60 pounds repeatedly each shift; bend, stoop, climb, stand, and twist for extended periods; successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements; and operate a Radio Frequency (RF) or Voice Pick device.

• Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure.
• Load merchandise into appropriate truck.
• Drop merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots.
• Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines.
• Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery.
• Verify quality of product, packaging, and adherence to vendor compliance policy.
• Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, “Preferred Method Standard”.
• Identify and report slot and put‑away problems.
• Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed.
• Perform housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Preferred:
  High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Previous knowledge of SAP, one year warehouse experience, and previous forklift certification.

• 6 months of previous warehouse experience and/or training preferred.
• Material handling equipment experience preferred.
• Reach truck experience a plus.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a functional capacity test.

• Frequently exposed to fast‑moving material handling equipment or other mechanical equipment.
• This is a full‑time position.
• Must have the ability to work a varying schedule which might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and some holidays.
• Work hours may vary or change based on customer orders, departmental or business requirements.
• The position does not require travel.
