Order Picker - Talley

We are looking for an Order Picker to join our Talley team in Woodridge, IL!

The Order Picker function is an advanced position within the Operations department. In this role, you will be responsible for picking customer orders and internal material transfers in accordance with Talley’s established procedures, work instructions, and customer-specific requirements. Your depth of previous experience in this occupation carries with it an expectation that you will be able to perform all duties listed below with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

• Pick customer orders, of all types, accurately, and in a timely manner
• Determine if orders can ship via the manner indicated on the picking ticket and take the necessary actions to resolve incompatible shipping methods
• Provide picked orders to the shipping team / will call support for outbound processing
• Demonstrate and apply analytic problem-solving skills to resolve day-to-day inventory issues that impact order-picking processes
• Participate in daily cleaning and upkeep of the facility
• Displays strong work ethic and honesty and adheres to all company policies and procedures
• Engages in work with a high sense of urgency, highly organized and detail-oriented
• Be open to change and deal calmly and effectively with high-stress situations

What You’ll Need

• 1-year warehouse experience.
• High School or GED
  - Preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must be able to operate a standard and stand-up forklift
• Required to be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to bend and reach overhead
• Must be able to work under deadline pressure as organizational skills are the key to finding and providing merchandise quickly and accurately for customer orders
• Experience using a handheld scanner
• Ability to read and write in English. Basic math skills.
• Customer Service skills a plus
