Position: Vehicle Zone Administrator I (Manheim)

Company Cox Automotive - USA Job Family Group Vehicle Operations Job Profile Lot Operations Specialist I Management Level Individual Contributor Flexible Work Option No remote option; must work at a specified Cox location Travel % No Work Shift Day Compensation Hourly base pay rate is $13.70 - $20.53/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Stickering & Vehicle Identification Ensure vehicles receive accurate and timely stock number labels, sale stickers, and other required vehicle identification materials. Verify sticker accuracy against inventory records and system information. Audit vehicles for missing, damaged, or incorrect stickers and take corrective action. Maintain compliance with all vehicle identification standards and procedures. Coordinate correction of inventory discrepancies discovered during the stickering process.
  • Vehicle Staging & Lot Flow Coordinate staging efforts to ensure vehicles are positioned correctly for inspections, imaging, reconditioning, transportation, and sale events. Prioritize vehicle placement based on operational deadlines and auction schedules. Monitor lot organization and ensure vehicles are stored in designated locations. Work closely with Lot Operations Specialists and leadership to optimize vehicle flow. Identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and throughput.
  • Lot Scanning & Inventory Control Monitor daily scanning compliance within the assigned zone. Perform routine audits to validate vehicle locations and inventory accuracy. Ensure all vehicle moves are properly scanned and documented in operational systems. Research and resolve missing vehicle and location discrepancies. Partner with internal departments to maintain accurate inventory visibility.
  • Operational Coordination Assign and track daily tasks related to scanning, stickering, and staging activities. Communicate priorities, workload changes, and operational issues to team members and leadership. Monitor service levels and productivity within the assigned zone. Support auction readiness by ensuring vehicles are properly identified, scanned, and staged before sale deadlines. Escalate operational concerns that may impact customer commitments or business objectives.
  • Safety & Compliance Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company safety standards. Identify and report unsafe conditions, behaviors, or equipment concerns. Promote safe vehicle movement and pedestrian awareness throughout the lot. Participate in safety meetings, audits, and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Experience operating manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with handheld scanning devices.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred
  • Previous Lot Operations, inventory management, logistics, or auction experience.
  • Experience with vehicle tracking and inventory systems.
  • Leadership, coordination, or team lead experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of lot flow and staging processes.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent walking throughout large outdoor lot environments.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Repeated entry and exit from vehicles.
  • Standing, bending, and moving for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
