All weather Wood Company (AWW) is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join their team in Woods Cross, UT. This is a non-exempt position at an hourly rate of $27.65. This position includes full benefits:

All weather Wood is the largest producer and distributor of waterborne preservative treated wood products in the Western USA. Operating six wood preserving plants in California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, these state-of-the-art facilities enable year-round production of a variety of preservative systems, fire retardants and wood species, including Douglas-fir, Hem fir, and Southern Yellow Pine. With support from two full-service distribution centers in California, All weather Wood partners with home improvement retailers, lumberyards, and building material dealers to bring a full range of preservative and fire-retardant lumber and plywood products to market.

Responsibilities

The Forklift Operator operates industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices (such as forklifts) to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, and materials throughout the facility or grounds. This role supports safe and efficient movement, storage, and handling of materials to meet customer and operational requirements. The Forklift Operator performs duties in a manner that prioritizes safety, accuracy, and quality service while contributing to overall warehouse and distribution operations.

  • Safely operates and drives a forklift while controlling the movement of the lifting apparatus.
  • Positions forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports loads to designated areas or trucks.
  • Unloads, moves, or stacks materials by raising and lowering the lifting device as required.
  • Conducts inventory checks on the work floor, tallies products, and supports proper stock rotation.
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections of forklifts and promptly report any service, safety, or operational concerns.
  • Repackages materials or units as necessary to ensure proper handling and storage.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company housekeeping standards.
  • I participate in annual physical inventory and inventory audit activities.
  • Perform other related duties assigned to support warehouse operations such as Incisor, Stacker, Unit Saw and Wrap Line.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training.
  • Provide proof of a current or previous forklift operator’s license or the ability to obtain and maintain a forklift operator’s license through company-provided training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, memos, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to operate a hand-held calculator and basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication).

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit on a forklift, frequently using hands to finger, handle, or feel the lever controls on the forklift.
  • Extensively use arms and legs to get into and out of forklift multiple times a day. Use hands, wrists, and arms to operate forklift and use legs and feet to push forklift pedals.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl when completing safety inspections on the forklift or when performing other warehouse operations.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk while working the floor, tallying products and supporting stock rotation.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds of wood or lumber material with or without assistance.
  • Requires visual acuity, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish colors and hand signals necessary for safe equipment operation.
