Provides certified nursing assistant services to assigned residents in accordance with care plans, facility policies and procedures and at the direction of supervisor(s).
Responsibilities- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including lifting, turning, positioning, and transportation to and from beds, chairs, and mobility aids.
- Coordinate dining room services, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake.
- Deliver nutritional supplements, record dietary intake, and assist in weight monitoring as per facility policy.
- Track residents’ skin condition, report any pressure areas or skin breakdown, and assist with toileting program activities.
- Complete flow sheets and document resident progress daily.
- Communicate changes in residents’ condition promptly to nursing staff and supervisors.
- Participate in life‑safety drills, emergency response, and ongoing training and competency assessments.
- Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the state (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Current Food Handler Permit.
- No disciplinary action in effect against certification.
- At least one year of experience as a CNA in long‑term or assisted‑living care (preferred).
- Treat all residents with dignity and respect, protecting their rights.
- Adhere to facility policies, state/federal regulations, infection control, and safety protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information.
- Report policy noncompliance, abuse, neglect, or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
- Work as a supportive team member, exercising independent judgement when appropriate.
- Perform required physical tasks, including moving, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 35 pounds.
- Be willing to work beyond normal hours, including weekends and holidays, when necessary.
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate electronic medical records.
