Responsibilities
As a Mental/Behavioral Health Technician at Benchmark, you will help young people who may be struggling with life or past trauma and abuse. You will provide empathy, trauma‑informed care, and engage adolescents in psycho‑educational groups, physical activities, therapeutic and scholastic assignments, and coach pro‑social skills by modeling healthy relationship building.

- Provide compassionate listening and re‑direct negativity to ensure residents feel safe.
- Help promote self‑esteem through collaborative peer work.
- Ensure safety and supervision of residents with consistent engagement and routines.
Hourly rates from $17.00 to $22.00 per hour based on education and experience, plus additional pay of $2.00 to $4.00 per hour depending on shift.
- PM Shift – Tues‑Sat (2 pm‑10 pm): $2.00/hr differential Tues‑Thurs, $4.00/hr on Fri & Sat.
- Weekend Shift – Fri–Sat (6 am‑2 pm), Sun–Mon (2 pm‑10 pm) + 5th 8‑hr shift: $4.00/hr Fri/Sat/Sun, $2.00/hr Mon.
- Day Shift – Sun‑Thu (6 am‑2 pm): $4.00/hr differential on Sunday.
