Hoods Unlimited is a growing service company supporting restaurants and commercial kitchens across multiple states. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to support our accounting and operations teams.
This is an entry-level position ideal for someone looking to build hands‑on experience in accounting, finance, and business operations. The right candidate is organized, consistent, and comfortable following structured processes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including invoicing and collections
- Perform collections outreach via phone and email to follow up on past‑due accounts
- Assist with Accounts Payable (AP), including entering and tracking vendor bills
- Record and apply customer payments accurately in the accounting system
- Assist with bank deposits and reconciliation tasks
- Support payroll processing as needed (via ADP)
- Assist with expense tracking and recording in Quick Books Online (QBO)
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records
- Communicate with internal team members regarding account statuses and discrepancies
- Support general accounting and administrative tasks as assigned
- High school diploma required; coursework in accounting, business, or finance is a plus
- Minimal experience required – entry‑level candidates are encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with Quick Books Online (QBO) and/or ADP is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills (especially for collections and follow‑ups)
- Ability to stay organized and manage repetitive tasks consistently
- Comfortable working in an in‑office, team‑oriented environment
- Someone dependable who shows up and follows through
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to handle collections professionally and confidently
- A team player who can support multiple departments when needed
