Senior Accountant

Burmester & Associates, PC is a well-established and growing public accounting firm with offices in Woodstock, Georgia, and Asheville, North Carolina. We serve a diverse client base that includes businesses in the construction, real estate, and service industries, as well as high-net-worth individuals.

We are seeking staff and senior accountants who are looking to build a long-term career in public accounting. Responsibilities:

• Preparing compiled, reviewed and audited financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with GAAP
• Preparation and/or review of federal, state, and local income tax returns and information filings
• Tax research and planning
• Communicating effectively with clients and meeting critical deadlines
• Managing or assisting with projects including but not limited to month-end/year-end close processes, management reporting and preparing reconciliations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
• Enrolled Agent or CPA a plus
• Working knowledge of Ultra Tax and CS Professional Suite, Quickbooks, and construction related software packages, a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite products
• Experience serving clients in construction and real estate industries is beneficial
• Strong client relationship skills
