The Theatre Education Manager will manage Theatre education initiatives and programming to inspire the next generation and grow a culture of continued learning through the arts within our community.
WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO HERE: As the Theatre Education Manager, you will shape the future of theatre education in Woodstock. You will design and steward programs that ignite imagination, build confidence, and cultivate lifelong artists and audiences. From first-time campers stepping onstage to teens preparing for college auditions to adults relearning their craft, you will create meaningful artistic pathways that develop skills, leadership, and a deep sense of belonging.
You will oversee performing arts classes, camps, workshops, showcases, and youth theatre productions, ensuring they are organized, mission-driven, and artistically vibrant. You will collaborate across departments, across sectors, and in educational partnerships, strengthening the connection between education and mainstage productions, festivals, marketing, and development. You will build strong relationships with teaching artists, schools, families, senior centers, and community partners, all in an effort for expanding access to theatre and elevating the impact of our programs.
This role is both visionary and hands-on. You will refine systems, improve registration and communication processes, maintain high-quality curriculum standards, and mentor instructors and volunteers. As Woodstock Arts continues to grow, you will help launch new theatre education initiatives aligned with our strategic plan. You will be given the opportunity in ensuring that our education programs are not only well-run, but transformational.
Through your leadership, students will discover their voices, families will feel connected, and our community will see the arts as an essential part of everyday life.

- You are both a creative thinker and a strong executor, able to dream boldly and manage details with excellence.
- You thrive in fast-paced, people-centered environments and bring calm, organized leadership to complex logistics.
- You are confident hiring, mentoring, and supporting teaching artists while holding high standards for quality and professionalism.
- You communicate clearly and compassionately with students, parents, volunteers, and staff.
- You are excited to build partnerships with schools and community organizations to expand access to theatre education.
