Material Technician – 3D Concrete Printing (3
DCP)
Department: Innovation & Technology Strategy | FMGI Additive Construction Division
Position Type: Full-Time | Travel Required
FMGI is seeking a Material Technician to support its Additive Construction Division by ensuring the quality, consistency, and performance of cementitious materials used in 3D concrete printing. This role supports both field operations and FMGI’s ongoing innovation initiatives.
Responsibilities- Prepare, batch, and manage cementitious materials for FMGI 3D concrete printing operations
- Perform field and laboratory testing to verify material performance and compliance
- Maintain material handling equipment and support continuous printing operations
- Track material usage, inventory, and coordinate deliveries to FMGI project sites
- Support on-site 3
DCP setup and troubleshooting related to material performance - Comply with FMGI safety standards, ASTM requirements, and project specifications
- 2+ years of experience in concrete materials, construction testing, or related field
- Understanding of concrete mix designs and quality control processes
- Ability to travel to FMGI project locations and work in active job sites
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
- Technical certification or associate degree preferred; bachelor’s degree a plus
