Senior Electrical Engineer / Designer
As a senior member of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering team, the Senior Electrical Engineer / Designer develops conceptual system designs, delegates project assignments, and serves as a mentor to junior team members.
Reporting to a Project Manager, you coordinate across practice teams to oversee and support design efforts, whether that means supplying power to equipment, selecting an appropriate generator for a school’s emergency power system or laying out electrical outlets for a floor plan. A visionary who thrives on technical analyses, you receive a strong sense of satisfaction from problem-solving and have earned a positive reputation for being reliable.
This position will be based in our Woodstock or Suwanee office.
- You’re proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Com Check and Lithonia Visual (or similar design software programs)
- You have a demonstrated and thorough knowledge of applicable codes and standards – for example, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations
- You have excellent analytical and technical capabilities
- You have robust interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, encompassing public speaking
- You’re highly organized, and details are never lost on you
- A BS in electrical engineering – with five (5) years of experience designing electrical systems – is strongly preferred
- Experience designing power distribution systems (including panel boards, switchboards, transformers, etc.) and working with interior and exterior lighting design and fire alarm, access control, public address, phone/data and other low-voltage systems is a major plus
