Little River Cabinet Shop is looking for a dependable, hardworking Shop Assistant to join our production team in Woodstock.
This is a hands-on support role for someone who likes staying busy, working with their hands, and being part of a team. A large part of the position will involve sanding and preparing cabinet components, along with helping wherever needed to keep materials and production moving.
You do not need to be an experienced cabinetmaker. (Or even have worked in a cabinet shop before.) Some experience with tools, woodworking, construction, manufacturing, or other hands-on work is helpful, but we're equally interested in someone who shows up, works hard, follows directions, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in doing a job well.

This is a true shop support position. You'll help the production team wherever needed, including:
- Sanding and preparing cabinet parts and components
- Preparing materials and surfaces for finishing
- Sorting, labeling, moving, and organizing cabinet parts and materials
- Assisting with basic cabinet production and assembly
- Helping experienced team members with day-to-day shop tasks
- Keeping tools, materials, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
- Learning to safely use hand tools and shop equipment
- Helping with general shop maintenance
- Pitching in wherever needed to keep production moving
- Are dependable and show up on time
- Enjoy hands-on, physical work
- Are comfortable doing repetitive sanding and preparation work
- Pay attention to details and take pride in quality
- Can follow instructions and stay productive
- Work well as part of a team
- Are willing to learn and take direction
- Have some familiarity with hand or power tools
Previous woodworking, carpentry, cabinet shop, construction, or manufacturing experience is helpful, but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis is an active shop position requiring prolonged standing and walking, bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, and lifting or moving cabinet materials and components. The shop environment includes exposure to dust and noise, and required protective equipment must be used.
