We are seeking an energetic and motivated In-Home Sales Consultant, also known as a Sales Solution Specialist, to drive high-ticket deck sales directly within customers’ homes. This dynamic role combines outside sales expertise with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a Solution Specialist, you will:
- Run in-home consultations with homeowners (one-call close with follow-up as needed)
- Present and design premium composite decking solutions
- Build value, diagnose needs, and guide confident purchase decisions
- Manage a mix of company-generated and self-generated appointments
- Use CRM, pricing tools, and presentation technology consistently
- Protect margins while delivering an exceptional customer experience
- Conduct in-home consultations to showcase premium deck solutions, providing detailed product demos and tailored recommendations.
- Develop new business opportunities through cold calling, lead generation, and territory management to expand your customer base.
- Manage existing accounts by nurturing relationships, upselling additional features or services, and ensuring customer satisfaction through ongoing support.
- Utilize CRM software to track leads, manage follow-ups, and analyze sales data for continuous improvement.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to close high-value sales confidently and professionally.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to implement local campaigns that attract new prospects and increase brand awareness.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all customer interactions, sales activities, and territory developments to ensure seamless management.
- Proven experience in In-Home sales with a track record of closing high-ticket deals.
- Strong management skills with the ability to oversee territory management and lead generation initiatives effectively.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with a customer-centric approach to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Builderprime or other CRM tools for tracking prospects and managing accounts.
- Effective communication skills for product demos, presentations, and building rapport with diverse clients.
- Ability to perform direct sales activities including cold calling and inside sales strategies.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data, conduct needs assessments, and develop strategic plans for territory growth.
- Knowledge of marketing principles and business development techniques to enhance outreach efforts.
- Strong customer service orientation paired with problem-solving skills to address client needs promptly.
- 3+ years of in-home, high-ticket, one-call close sales experience
- Home improvement sales background preferred; deck and design experience is a plus
- Comfortable presenting and closing premium-priced projects
- Professional, disciplined, and process-driven
- Confident communicator with strong follow-up skills
- Experience with industry-leading technology, pricing tools, and sales processes
- Proven presentation system with strong support staff
- High average ticket and real earning power
