Accounting Manager
This position is a self-directed and experienced individual who will oversee all accounting-related functions and be a strategic partner with senior management. The successful candidate will be responsible for budget management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development of and support the company's strategic plans
- Monitor all financial performance of the company
- Projects inventory and assets by establishing tracking/monitoring and enforcing internal controls
- Compile and analyze financial reporting packages
- Oversees accounts payable/receivable
- Works closely with HR team
- Plan, direct and coordinate project implementation with management team
- Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures
- Communicate financial metrics to senior management
- Plan, direct, coordinate and execute strategic operating plan
- Manage financial relationships with vendors/suppliers with purchasing/pricing responsibilities
- Supervises directly a total of two persons [2 Exempt]. Coaches, motivates, and evaluates staff with a goal of maintaining people, a work environment, and skillsets necessary to meet department and company needs and objectives
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions
- Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
- Maintain open communication for a positive and effective work culture
Qualifications and
Required Skills:
- CPA or equivalent combination of related experience and education
- Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- 5-10 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Ability to work closely with senior management
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
