CNC and Manual Machinist

Charter Dura-Bar seeks a CNC and Manual Machinist to join our leading continuous cast iron bar manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC and manual lathes and mills to produce precision components for diverse industrial customers. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, performing setups, tool changes, and offsets, and inspecting parts using precision gauges to ensure quality and tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes and mills to produce precision components from continuous cast iron bar
• Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and specifications to meet tight tolerances
• Perform machine offsets, tool changes, and basic G-code edits as needed
• Use precision measuring tools to inspect parts and verify quality requirements
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot basic issues, and communicate maintenance needs
• Follow all safety policies, 5
• S, and quality procedures in a manufacturing environment
• Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records of work performed
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members on process improvements
