Contract Length: 12-week contract
Shift Details: Days | 5x8s | Primarily 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (alternating with 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
On-call: required (up to 3 nights per week)
Weekend coverage: Every third weekend
Job Responsibilities- Provide inpatient pharmacy services supporting acute care patients across all age groups, including neonates through geriatrics.
- Perform clinical dosing and medication management, including anticoagulation, renal dosing, pharmacokinetics, therapeutic drug monitoring, and high‑alert medications.
- Prepare and dispense IV medications, including IV piggybacks, IV push medications, antibiotics, and chemotherapy agents.
- Compound medications using proper sterile technique and safe handling of hazardous drugs and antineoplastic agents.
- Support outpatient infusion and chemotherapy preparation as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.
- Utilize Epic for order verification, documentation, and workflow.
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs.
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient pharmacist experience.
- Pharm
D or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy. - Active state pharmacy license.
- RPh credential.
- Experience with Epic.
- Experience preparing IV medications and supporting acute‑care pharmacy operations.
- Ability to take on‑call shifts and weekend coverage.
- Experience with inpatient pharmacy duties and outpatient infusion preparation.
- Chemotherapy/Hazardous Drug Certification.
- IV Certification.
- Experience with chemotherapy compounding and antineoplastic drug packaging.
- Experience in ambulatory or outpatient clinic pharmacy settings.
- Pediatric dosing experience.
