Position: Operations Clerk (temporary)

Overview

The Operations Clerk provides clerical and administrative support to one of various Operations Support functions throughout the Operations Support Jurisdictional Departments. All other duties usually assigned this classification.
Note:
This is a temporary position for a six (6) month duration with the possibility of extension based on business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform clerical work and related duties for any Operations Support Jurisdictional Department as assigned.
  • Clerk will handle and process all internal customer requests by face‑to‑face meetings, correspondence, telephone, or other applicable technology.
  • Responsible for clerical functions in all Operations Support utilizing computer programs (including but not limited to EAM, NJUNS, ARCOS, HCM, SAP, Microsoft Office).
  • Travel to other platforms to perform clerical work when the Company determines the need.
Qualifications
  • Must be able to operate office equipment such as computer, calculator, copier/scanner/fax.
  • Type approximately 25 words per minute.
  • Must have the ability to converse intelligently in a pleasant, understandable, and helpful manner with department staff, internal and external customers.
  • Must be a legible penman, proficient in filing and office procedures, and must be able to assume responsibilities for routine clerical work.
  • Must successfully pass the Clerical Assessment Test.
  • Must have the ability to acquire a sufficient knowledge of Company policies and practices to prepare and maintain various forms, records and reports required in department.
  • Employee may be required to work during heavy activity periods and emergency situations.
  • Must possess and maintain valid drivers’ license with no restrictions on hours of operations.
