Camp Administrator (Part Time spring, Full Time summer)

Camp JORI – Wakefield, Rhode Island

Camp JORI, a historic Jewish overnight summer camp with nearly a century of tradition, is seeking a Camp Administrator to support our operations. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys keeping systems running smoothly and supporting a mission-driven community.

Working in a camp environment is unique. The Camp Administrator helps keep many moving pieces organized, from family communication to staff paperwork and day-to-day office coordination. In the months leading up to summer, this role focuses on preparing the systems that allow the camp season to run smoothly. This includes organizing camper and staff files, ensuring required forms and documentation are collected, supporting family communications, and maintaining accurate records.

Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential in helping camp leadership maintain an organized, welcoming, and efficient operation.

The Camp Administrator works closely with camp leadership to manage administrative systems, maintain records, and assist with key operational tasks as we prepare for the upcoming summer season. During the summer months, the role continues to support these administrative systems while also helping the camp operate smoothly on-site. In addition to coordinating office tasks and communications, the Camp Administrator is often one of the first people visitors and families encounter when they arrive at camp, helping create a welcoming and organized environment for the entire camp community.

  • Full-time from mid-June to mid-August (ideally living on camp; room and board provided, as well as camp tuition for the Administrator’s camp aged children if desired). Summer full time salary: $600 per week
  • Flexible remote or hybrid work possible in the pre-summer months depending on location
