Overview

The Studio Apprentice works collaboratively with peers and with the Studio Coordinator, a professional artist, to complete projects for clients. Their main job is to learn industry-standard art and design skills appropriate to the studio, develop excellent professional workplace etiquette, and gain the social-emotional skills that support a positive, collaborative work environment.

  • How to collaborate with a team to create a high-quality product
  • How to kindly and compassionately give and receive constructive criticism
  • How to manage time and work within a deadline
  • What it takes to become a professional artist and/or designer
Qualifications
  • No experience with art or design required
  • Maintain an academic average of C or above (tutoring is available)
  • Attend BOTH school and work every day
  • Complete all hiring paperwork in collaboration with a parent or legal guardian BEFORE starting the program
  • Successfully pass all BCI requirements
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
