What You’ll Do
- Set up dental procedures and prepare treatment rooms for each patient.
- Provide hands-on assistance to the dentist during procedures.
- Take clear, diagnostic-quality x-ray films.
- Capture accurate alginate impressions.
- Sterilize dental instruments and maintain infection-control standards.
- Record patient vitals and chief complaints in the chart.
- Document clinical notes and treatment plans accurately.
- Communicate with patients in a warm, professional manner to ensure comfort throughout their visit.
You’re someone who takes pride in delivering great patient care and stays calm in a busy clinical setting. You bring strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to helping others.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- X-Ray Certification (or ability to complete within 6 months of hire).
- BLS Certification (or ability to complete within 6 months of hire).
- Comfortable using computers for charting and documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous dental assistant experience is a plus — candidates who don’t meet every preferred qualification are encouraged to apply.

This is a full-time Dental Assistant position available at our Thundermist Health Center locations in Woonsocket, West Warwick, and South County. Our dental clinics operate Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Your schedule may include rotating evenings based on department needs.

You’ll work onsite at a Thundermist location in a clinical dental setting.
- Frequent use of fingers and hands for instrument manipulation and dental equipment operation.
- You’ll be on your feet for most of the day.
- Exposure to standard clinical materials, including dental instruments and x-ray equipment.
