Special Ed Teacher | Woonsocket, Rhode

An educational opportunity is available for Special Education Teachers to work with elementary students in a self-contained classroom setting in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. This contract position offers 30 to 32.5 hours per week during the  school year, providing direct support to young learners with special needs.

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique learning requirements.
• Deliver specialized instruction in a self-contained classroom environment focused on elementary-aged students.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants to ensure comprehensive support and positive learning experiences.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies to meet educational goals.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and engagement.

• Valid certification or licensure for Special Education teaching.
• Experience working with elementary students in a special education setting.
  
  Ability to collaborate effectively with support staff and other educators.
• Strong organizational skills and commitment to individualized student success.
• Excellent communication skills with students, families, and colleagues.
