Beacon Charter High School for the Arts seeks a full‑time English teacher with a valid RI Secondary English certificate to join our dedicated and passionate teaching faculty. Comfort with curriculum writing is preferred.
Beacon, one of the state's most successful public charter schools, is located in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and serves 231 student artists from across the state.
Responsibilities- Teach English to high‑school students, including lesson planning, classroom instruction, and assessment.
- Develop curriculum and instructional materials aligned with state standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and school improvement.
- Engage parents and families as partners in student success.
- Participate in professional development and school events.
- Strong, standards‑based lesson planning and development skills.
- Student‑centered approach.
