Job Description Special Education Teacher
Location: Providence, RI
Hours: 32.5 hours/week
Caseload: Special Education Behavior Intervention Classroom
Start/End Date: September 4, 2024 – June 23, 2025 (tentative, aligns with school calendar)
We are hiring a Special Education Teacher for a Behavior Intervention Classroom in Providence, RI. This full-time position involves working with students with severe intellectual disabilities, providing specialized instruction and behavioral support.
Minimum Requirements- Minimum 1+ years special education experience.
- Valid Educator Certificate:
All Grades Special Education - Severe Intellectual Disability Teacher PK-12.
- Experience working in behavior intervention settings preferred.
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Strong skills in managing classroom behavior and providing supportive interventions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
