The Laser Field Repair Technician supports jewelers worldwide by providing high‑quality service, repairs, and maintenance for laser equipment in both remote and on‑site environments. This role combines technical and mechanical expertise with strong customer service skills to diagnose issues, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure optimal performance.
Working in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused setting, the technician collaborates closely with internal teams while traveling to customer locations as needed, with reduced and flexible travel options available to support business and individual needs.
- Troubleshoot, test, and repair laser equipment both remotely and in person
- Document customer interactions and process invoices using company systems
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and virtual platforms
- Collaborate with internal teams and specialists to deliver a seamless customer experience
- Drive a company vehicle for customer site visits and equipment deliveries
- Lift, crate, and uncrate laser equipment and shipments as needed
- Provide on‑site customer support as needed, including limited or occasional travel based on service needs and technician availability (overnight travel may be required in some cases)
- Maintain a professional, customer‑focused approach during all service interactions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (subject to drug screen and background check)
- Strong communication skills across phone, email, and in‑person interactions
- Customer‑focused mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast‑paced environment - Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Technical and mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn circuitry and mechanical systems
- Positive, coachable attitude and strong work ethic
- Forklift operation experience
- Previous experience in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical work, microelectronics, diagnostics, or technician roles
- Knowledge of the jewelry industry and/or laser equipment
