Job Description Use your knowledge of electrical engineering discipline, processes and tools to help Honeywell deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under general supervision alongside some of the world's most talented engineers and contribute to Honeywell's next‑generation products by designing, testing or validating features from prototype to market. This role focuses on maintaining, redesigning and automating test equipment, writing LabVIEW code, and supporting the Resolver product line.

Your work will directly impact problem resolution and revenue generation for key customers such as Honeywell Aerospace, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and distribution partners.

Responsibilities
  • Test Design & Development:
    Create comprehensive test plans and procedures to evaluate products and equipment against design parameters; develop SOW and RFQ for external automation/testing suppliers.
  • Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:
    Use oscilloscopes, multimeters and other tools to isolate malfunctions to the component level.
  • Automation:
    Develop test software and scripts to automate repetitive testing tasks.
  • Root Cause Analysis:
    Investigate product failures to determine if they stem from design flaws, firmware bugs or manufacturing issues.
  • Documentation:
    Ensure proper documentation, backup and approvals for supported equipment (AS9100 & MIL‑SPEC).
Key Skills & Tools, Major Hardware ATE Platforms
  • Technical Proficiencies:
    Reading PCB schematics, soldering, familiar with ISO or MIL‑STD standards.
  • Programming:
    Scripting languages for automation frameworks; experience with National Instruments PXI (PCI eXtensions for Instrumentation) and NI Test Stand.
  • LabVIEW:
    Design automated test, measurement and control systems.
  • Keysight Eggplant: GUI‑based automation using AI and image recognition.
  • Instrument Control:
    Communicate with hardware via GPIB, USB, Ethernet, RS232 and PXI protocols.
  • Data Acquisition (DAQ):
    Real‑time measurement of voltage, temperature, pressure, etc.
  • Design Validation:
    Automate complex R&D tests sweeping across environmental variables.
  • Manufacturing Test:
    High‑throughput systems that verify product specifications on a production line before shipping.
Qualifications MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • Proficiency in reading PCB schematics, soldering and standards like ISO or MIL‑STD.
  • Instrument control skills with GPIB, USB, Ethernet, RS232 and PXI.
  • DAQ experience measuring voltage, temperature and pressure.
  • Experience automating R&D tests that sweep environmental variables.
  • Experience with high‑throughput manufacturing test systems.
WE VALUE
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred):
    Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • LabVIEW experience.
  • Self‑motivation and ability to work with little supervision.
  • Ability to update or modify working procedures in a defined environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with engineering functional teams.
  • Experience designing, modifying, writing and implementing test equipment solutions.
  • Experience managing servers.
  • Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting background preferred.
  • Strong multitasking and complex task management skills.
  • 2‑5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications such as Engineer in Training (EIT) or ISTQB for testing.
