Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the development of accurate project estimates and ensuring timely bid submissions. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of construction practices and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

+ Utilize estimating software and tools to develop accurate project estimates.

+ Track current and upcoming bid opportunities, issuing requests for quotes to suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.

+ Organize bid folders, proposals, and supporting documentation to ensure timely bid submissions.

+ Perform comparative analysis of subcontractor and supplier pricing.

+ Maintain historical cost data, estimate files, bid documents, and tabulations.

+ Coordinate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to develop budgets and schedules aligned with project goals.

+ Assist with post-award documentation, including contract review, insurance and bonding requirements, required forms, budgets, submittals, and schedules.

+ Support the project turnover process with preconstruction and construction teams.

+ Assist with purchasing long-lead and specialty materials as needed.

+ Provide general administrative and estimating support as required.

Essential Skills

+ 0-3 years of experience in estimating or roadway construction.

+ Proficiency in estimation, construction, and construction management.

+

Experience with estimating software and construction estimating.

+ Strong analytical, mathematical, and communication skills.

+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.

Work Environment

The position requires working onsite in the office five days a week. The work environment is collaborative, focusing on teamwork and effective communication to achieve project goals.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Woonsocket, RI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
