Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

KBW Financial has partnered with a high-growth PE-backed manufacturer to identify a Controller
. In this role you’ll be responsibile for accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and partnering with business leadership.

Salary
: $125,000–$145,000 + strong bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Location
: 4 days a week in office based in the Portsmouth, RI area - additional remote flexibility once settled into the role

• Lead month-end close processes, preparing journal entries and GL/sub-ledger reconciliations.
• Conduct variance analysis and financial forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare financial statements including inventory management, cycle count processes, and reserve methodologies to ensure accurate valuation and reporting
• Support all external audits while ensuring strong internal controls and compliance with GAAP
• Lead and develop a team of 3 accounting professionals.
• Partner with operations to help drive efficiencies
• Manage service contracts, % of completion / WIP and revenue
• Oversee revenue recognition compliance, accruals, intercompany activity, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Contribute to process improvements during the Net Suite ERP implementation.

• Experience
  : 7+ years accounting experience in the manufacturing or services industry with a backround in financial reporting and process building.
• Education
  :
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Technical Skills
  :
  Net Suite experience a plus; advanced Excel skills required.
• Knowledge
  : GAAP knowledge, including revenue recognition and intercompany transactions
• Management Skills

  Supervise a team of accountants
