Laundry Assistant

Work Schedule

Part‑time, Second Shift, 3 p.m.–7 p.m., 20 hours per week.

Advinia Care Oakland Grove, a warm and welcoming senior living community, is seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Laundry Assistant to join our team. As a member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our laundry facilities, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality care and service.

• Meet the laundry needs of the facility by ensuring all laundry processes are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain a safe and efficient working environment by ensuring all machinery and equipment is in good working condition
• Remove torn, worn, or soiled linens and clothing from inventory and mend or iron as necessary
• Comply with privacy practices and protect residents' health information
• Perform other duties assigned by the managerial team

• No education required, on‑the‑job training provided
• A minimum of one (1) year experience in laundry operations preferred, but not necessary
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public
• Must be knowledgeable of laundry practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing laundry functions in the long‑term care facility
• Must possess a willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non‑professional personnel
• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of laundry areas
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning
• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing laundry practices
