Outpatient Substance Use Specialist (Full Time) Pay Range (70k-80k) Benefits

DescriptionLicensed Chemical Dependency Professional or an individual with a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling with extensive work in the field of addictions will provide individual counseling to adults struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders. The counselor will be expected to provide assessment, diagnosis, relapse prevention skills, psychoeducation and referrals to higher levels of care through motivational interviewing, harm reduction and cognitive behavioral therapy treatment modalities.
In addition to individual therapy, the counselor will be responsible for:
- Completing session notes within 48 hours of service
- Completing treatment plans every 6 months
- Providing crisis management and referring clients to community resources
The ideal candidate has previous experience working/interning in the fields of mental health and/or addiction, is able to function as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team as well as work autonomously and has a sincere desire to help the people we serve.
Education / LicensingA license in Chemical Dependency, or a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related human services discipline with extensive experience in the field of addictions. License eligible or independently licensed.
