Location: Portsmouth, RI

Job Description: Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join our team in Portsmouth RI. The School Psychologist will play a vital role in providing psychological services to students, collaborating with educators and families, and promoting positive mental health and academic success.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess students' cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral functioning
• Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations for educational programming and intervention planning
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop and implement strategies to support students' academic, social, and emotional development
• Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
• Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 plans

Qualifications:

• Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
• Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure in the state of Rhode Island
• Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a school or educational setting preferred
• Knowledge of assessment techniques, intervention strategies, and special education laws and regulations
