Senior CDN & Edge Platform Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and optimize CDN solutions across platforms such as Akamai, Cloudflare, Cloud Front, Fastly, and Imperva
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Python, Terraform, Git Ops, or similar tools to manage CDN configurations at scale
• Define and implement caching strategies, routing rules, and performance optimizations to improve content delivery and latency
• Configure and manage DNS, Bot Management, and web security features (WAF, TLS/mTLS) within CDN environments
• Monitor CDN performance using tools such as Traffic Peak, Grafana, Splunk, New Relic, or similar platforms; build dashboards and alerts to ensure reliability
• Analyze system metrics and troubleshoot performance issues, ensuring minimal service disruption
• Provide on‑call support, incident response, and root cause analysis for CDN‑related issues
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (development, infrastructure, and security) to integrate CDN solutions into enterprise applications
• Develop and recommend reference architectures, configuration standards, and deployment best practices
• Optimize CDN configurations for SEO, performance, and API acceleration use cases
• Work with REST APIs and tools like Postman to manage and validate CDN integrations
• Ensure CDN implementations follow security best practices and compliance requirements
• Support distributed environments including client‑server systems, virtual machines, and cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP

• Experience with two or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., Go, Python, Node.js, Java)
• Hands‑on experience with one or more major CDN providers (Akamai, Cloudflare, AWS Cloud Front, Fastly, Imperva)
• Strong understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS/mTLS, proxies, load balancing, WAF)
• Experience building automation solutions for infrastructure or CDN management
• Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Splunk, New Relic, Traffic Peak)
• Experience with API integrations and caching/acceleration patterns
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with on‑call responsibilities

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Git Ops practices
• Exposure to edge computing and modern CDN features (edge workers, serverless at the edge)
• Experience implementing bot mitigation and advanced security controls
• Prior experience supporting large‑scale, high‑traffic enterprise environments
