The Manager, Pharmacy Services Business Intelligence, will support a team that is motivated by the opportunity to reinvent healthcare and improve health outcomes for our patients. This highly visible team member will work in a collaborative, matrixed environment and will use the assets of the entire CVS Health Enterprise to develop reporting and analytics tools that drive success for our organization and give our product partners, external clients, and executive leadership the information they need to make the right business decisions.
This role will report to the Senior Manager, Pharmacy Services Reporting & Insights.
Responsibilities:
- Use critical thinking to frame business problems, acquire relevant data points, design analytical plans, and provide actionable insights and strategic solutions
- Build interactive dashboards, inclusive of AI integration, and reports to track both operational and financial KPIs to inform business decisions and next step actions
- Design and conduct complex analyses using large and sometimes messy data sets to unlock quantitative insights
- Brainstorm with your colleagues to build out creative approaches for new problems to navigate effective solutions
- Develop a "story" and accompanying presentation that concisely summarizes findings across several initiatives and creates specific recommendations that can be easily understood by non-subject matter experts
- Engage collaboratively across the team and with enterprise partners on various projects to support our Pharmacy Services growth and profitability goals
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years advanced Tableau expertise, including design of executive-ready dashboards, performance optimization, and server site administration
- 3+ years of working knowledge and experience in analyzing large data sets
- 3+ years of strong command of SQL, independently performing analysis, validation, and issue resolution across multiple data sources
- 3+ years of demonstrated ability to exercise analytical judgment when validating dashboards, datasets, and AI-generated outputs-knowing when results are decision-ready versus investigatory
- 2+ years advanced Excel skills (e.g., advanced formulas, conditional formatting, charts, graphs, VBA & macros, etc.)
- Working proficiency with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support insights generation or other reporting capabilities while adhering to enterprise AI governance standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA or Master's in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field)
- 2+ years utilizing GCP's data and AI tools, such as Big Query and Vertex AI
- Knowledge and experience working with pharmacy data
- Strategic problem solving and/or new product development (e.g., consulting, with a quant focus)
- Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with a diverse range of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, and with all levels of an organization
- Proficiency in drawing insights, solving problems, and applying analytics resources
