Overview

We’re looking for a driven professional to lead initiatives that boost performance, reduce absenteeism, and enhance service quality. In this role, you’ll design and implement innovative solutions, analyze trends, and deliver actionable insights that shape the future of our operations.

• Set appointments same day, inspect within 24 hours, and write estimate CAR side.
• Depending on location, write 6 to 10 estimates per day.
• Ensure proper vehicle tear down.
• Determine repair time allotments and required labor operations.
• Make accurate repair/replace decisions.
• Assess and apply pre‑existing damage and complete accurate total loss evaluations.
• Negotiate agreed price with shop decision maker and set time‑bound expected completion date per client guidelines.
• Review and assess the validity of all supplement requests.
• Proactively provide customers with information regarding their vehicle’s cost of repair estimate and explain the claims/repair process.
• Maintain accurate vehicle cost of repair estimates and explain claims/repair process.
• Negotiate advanced fees for tow, tear down, and storage for vehicles determined to be financial total loss.
• Provide extraordinary customer service to all parties in the claims process.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management or as needed.

• Assist quality assurance team and be available for desk appraisal work as needed.

• Education & Licensing:
  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred but not required). Licenses as required, as needed. Professional certifications applicable to line‑of‑business preferred. Employees required to obtain licensing applicable to their role have 60 days to complete training and testing.
• Experience:
  
  Four (4) years of insurance or body shop experience required.
• Skills & Knowledge:
  Good technical knowledge of auto appraisals; knowledge of client operations and labor regulations; excellent oral and written communication; PC literate including Microsoft Office products; analytical and interpretive skills; strong organizational skills; excellent interpersonal skills; excellent negotiation skills; good judgment and discretion; ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities; ability to work in a team environment; ability to meet or exceed performance expectations.

• Must work independently; manage local territory and schedule the workday.
• Mental:
  Clear, conceptual thinking; excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion; handle work‑related stress; manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Physical:
  Computer keyboarding and local travel as required.
• Auditory/Visual:
  Hearing, vision, and speaking.

Pay Transparency disclosure:
As required by law, Sedgwick provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is ($55,000 - $65,000 annually).
