Your day at a glance
As a full-time, permanent Precision CNC Programmer-Machinist, you’ll own the journey from print to part. Your morning starts by reviewing drawings and GD&T, translating them into efficient toolpaths via G-code or CAM (Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.). You’ll set up mills and/or lathes, select tooling, set offsets, and run first-article checks to lock in tight tolerances. Throughout the day, you’ll monitor quality with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and, when applicable, CMM—making smart program and tooling adjustments as you go.
You’ll partner with engineering and production to refine processes, troubleshoot issues, and keep machines performing at their best with routine care.
What you’ll do Program CNC mills and lathes using G-code or CAM to deliver precision components
Set up, operate, and optimize machine performance for accuracy and throughput
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T to ensure conformance
Select tools, set work and tool offsets, and fine-tune code for optimal results
Hold tight tolerances and verify quality via in-process inspection
Measure with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM (as applicable)
Diagnose machining challenges and adjust programs/tooling to resolve them Perform routine preventive maintenance and uphold safe, proper machine operation
Collaborate with engineering and production to drive continuous improvement
What you’ll bring5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience
Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code and/or CAM such as Mastercam, Fusion 360)
Expert blueprint reading and GD&T comprehension
Proven success machining to tight tolerances
Ability to independently set up and run jobs from start to finish
Background with both mills and lathes preferred
Strong troubleshooting skills and an eye for detail
Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screening (including marijuana)
Schedule Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Compensation Up to $45.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
