Electronics Technician, Electronics Assembler
This role is responsible for assembling, soldering, inspecting, and testing electronic components and printed circuit boards (PCBs) used in high-quality communication, switching, and fiber optic products. The ideal candidate will have experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT), hand soldering, and electronic assembly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform SMT and through-hole electronic assembly on PCB assemblies and electronic devices
- Hand place and solder fine-pitch SMT components and electronic parts
- Operate and assist with pick-and-place SMT equipment and related production machinery
- Read and follow blueprints, schematics, assembly instructions, and work orders
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 workmanship standards
- Conduct visual inspections and basic functional testing of assemblies
- Assist with rework, repairs, and troubleshooting of PCB assemblies as needed
- Previous experience in SMT assembly, PCB assembly, or electronics manufacturing required
- Experience with fine-pitch hand soldering and component placement
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards preferred
- Experience operating pick-and-place machines is a plus
- Ability to identify electronic components and read assembly documentation
- Basic computer skills preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- IPC certification preferred
- Experience working in a regulated or high-quality manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with fiber optic or communication products is a plus
$20.00 to $30.00 per hour
