OverviewThe Experienced LPN/LVN provides direct and indirect patient care services within the scope of nursing practice as defined by state requirements. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and in collaboration with the healthcare team, the LPN/LVN ensures patient safety, comfort, and quality care, enhancing the overall patient experience across various clinical units.
Responsibilities- Deliver safe, high-quality direct and indirect patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as allowed by state regulations and facility guidelines.
- Monitor patient condition and report changes promptly to the RN or healthcare team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and interventions.
- Promote a safe, therapeutic, and compassionate environment for patients and their families.
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans, treatments, and health maintenance.
- Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Current and valid LPN/LVN state license.
- Current BLS (AHA or ARC) certificate and maintain current.
- Minimum of one year acute care and telemetry experience.
- IV Certification.
- Current ACLS (AHA or ARC) certificate and maintain current.
